PhotoLoop
Seedance AI video generator, free on PhotoLoop
Upload one image and run it through ByteDance's Seedance model. One free clip a day, no account, no watermark — and every render time on this page is one we measured ourselves.
What Seedance is, and what this page is
Seedance is a family of video generation models from ByteDance. PhotoLoop is an independent site that reaches them through a commercial API, which is why you can try one here without creating a ByteDance account — or any account at all. We are not affiliated with ByteDance and Seedance is their trademark; what we provide is the doorway, not the model.
The free clip is the real model
A lot of free tiers hand you a degraded preview and keep the real thing behind a card form. The daily free clip here is Seedance 2.0 Mini doing genuine inference: five seconds, 480p, with audio, no watermark burned into the download. If your photo does not animate well on it, that is information about your photo, and you found it out for nothing.
What each Seedance run actually takes
Free Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p: 158 to 168 seconds, measured across our own runs. Seedance 2.0 at 720p: 245 seconds, 100 credits. These are the slowest numbers among the models we run, and we would rather say so here than let you discover it while a progress bar sits still. When speed matters more than Seedance's particular handling of a subject, MiniMax H3 Max returns in about 57 seconds for 40 credits.
Why Seedance 2.5 is missing
We added it, submitted a real job, and removed it the same day. Seedance 2.5 accepts only the adaptive aspect ratio — ask it for 16:9 or 9:16 and the provider rejects the request. Listing it would mean selling a choice that fails on most settings, so it is not in the model picker. That is also why we test every model with a real submission before switching it on: two of the five we tried turned out to be broken in exactly this way.
Prompts that Seedance actually reads
ByteDance publishes prompt-writing guidance for Seedance, and one part of it is unusual: the model responds to time segments. Describing what happens from 0 to 3 seconds and then from 3 to 6 changes what you get back. Our prompt optimiser applies those published rules when a Seedance model is selected — and deliberately does not apply them to models whose makers have published nothing about timelines, because inventing a preference for a model is how you quietly make its output worse.

- No account needed to generate, no watermark on the download
- Seedance 2.0 at 100 credits for 5 seconds at 720p
- Render times on this page are measured, not estimated
Questions
Is Seedance free here?
Yes, once a day. The free tier runs Seedance 2.0 Mini and gives you a 5-second 480p clip with audio, no account and no watermark. It is the same model and the same pipeline as the paid runs, only smaller and slower — so it tells you honestly whether Seedance handles your particular image.
Which Seedance versions can I actually use?
Two. Seedance 2.0 Mini is what the free daily clip runs on. Seedance 2.0 is the paid step up at 100 credits for five seconds at 720p, or 249 at 1080p. Both are ByteDance models reached through our provider, not reimplementations.
Why is Seedance 2.5 not offered?
We integrated it, tested it with a real submission, and took it back down. It refuses any aspect ratio other than adaptive, so anyone choosing 16:9 or 9:16 would have hit a provider error after their credits were already committed. We would rather not list a model than list one that fails on most settings. If ByteDance relaxes that constraint we will put it back.
How long does a Seedance render take?
Measured on our own runs, not estimated: 158 to 168 seconds for the free 5-second 480p clip, and 245 seconds for Seedance 2.0 at 720p. Seedance is on the slower end of the models we run — MiniMax H3 Max returns a comparable clip in about 57 seconds — so pick Seedance for how it handles the subject, not for speed.
Are you ByteDance?
No. PhotoLoop is an independent site that runs Seedance through a commercial API, alongside models from Alibaba and MiniMax. Seedance is ByteDance's model and their trademark. If you want the official product, go to ByteDance directly; what we offer is a way to try the model without an account.
How should I write a Seedance prompt?
Seedance is one of the few models whose makers publish prompt-writing guidance, and it accepts timeline segments — describing 0–3s and 3–6s separately actually changes the output. Our prompt optimiser applies ByteDance's own published rules when you have a Seedance model selected, and deliberately does not apply them to models whose makers say nothing about timelines.
What does Seedance cost you to run?
The free clip costs us $0.093 in supplier fees each time, which is why it is one per device per day rather than unlimited. Paid credits are priced at one cent of supplier cost each, so the 100 credits for a 720p Seedance 2.0 clip is the compute rather than a marked-up token.
What happens to my image and the clip?
Both are deleted 24 hours after generation unless you tick the box asking us to keep yours. Neither is used to train anything. You do not need an account to generate — only to download and keep the file.
