What actually happens to your photo

The model receives your image as the first frame and predicts what the next few seconds would look like. It is not applying a filter or panning across a static picture — it is generating new frames. That distinction explains most of what people find surprising about the results, including why some clips look photographic and others fall apart.

Small motion survives, large motion does not

A person breathing, steam rising, fabric moving, light shifting across a wall — these read as real because the model only invents changes consistent with the frame it was given. Ask for a turn, a walk, or a dramatic expression change and it has to invent information that was never in your photo. Faces warp and hands melt at exactly that boundary, and no amount of paying for a better model moves it.

Expect minutes, not seconds

Our measured range is 100 to 220 seconds for a 5-second 480p clip. Upload, validation and storage together take under ten seconds; the rest is inference and queue. We tell you this up front rather than after you have committed, and you can leave an email during the wait instead of holding the tab open.

Prove the shot before you pay for it

The free tier exists so you can find out whether your particular photo animates well — which is unpredictable — before spending anything. If the free 480p render works, the same prompt at 720p on Wan 3.0 costs 38 credits. If it does not work, you have spent nothing and learned the same thing.

Questions

How long does it take to turn an image into video?

Between 100 and 220 seconds in our own measurements — the first run we timed took 211 seconds for a 5-second 480p clip. Almost none of that is upload or processing on our side; it is the model doing frame-by-frame inference and waiting in queue. Any tool showing a progress bar that fills in fifteen seconds is guessing.

Why does my subject's face distort?

Because the model only has one frame of information. Small movement — breathing, hair drifting, a slight camera push — stays consistent with what it can see. Asking someone to turn around or walk across the room forces it to invent the back of their head and the far side of the room. Ask for the smallest movement that still tells your story.

Is the free version watermarked?

No. The downloaded file has no watermark burned in and no overlay in the player. Free clips are 5 seconds at 480p, one per device per day.

Do I need an account to generate?

No. Upload, generate and watch the result without signing in. An account is only needed to download the file, which is also when we can save it to your history — signed-out results disappear after 24 hours.

What does a higher-quality render actually cost?

At 720p a 5-second clip costs 38 credits on Wan 3.0, 60 on Kling 3.0, 100 on Seedance 2.0 and 148 on Seedance 2.5. At 1080p those become 75, 80, 249 and 266. One credit is one cent of supplier cost, so the numbers are the real price of the compute rather than a marked-up token.

How long are my files kept?

Both the source image and the generated video are deleted 24 hours after generation. We do not use either to train models.

Which model should I pick for a photo of a person?

Start with the free Seedance 2.0 Mini to check whether the shot works at all. If it does and you want it sharper, Wan 3.0 at 720p is the cheapest step up at 38 credits. Kling 3.0 costs more but generates audio, which matters if the clip needs ambience.
